The 290 MWp solar PV power plant with a 126 MWh BESS at the Nur Bukhara Hybrid Power Project was awarded pursuant to a competitive tender conducted by JSC National Electric Grid of Uzbekistan in accordance with the public-private partnership law of the Republic of Uzbekistan. The PPA was executed between Nur Bukhara Solar PV LLC and JSC National Electric Grid of Uzbekistan as the off-takers. The project is situated in the Alat District of the Bukhara region in the Republic of Uzbekistan, approximately 24 kms southeast of Alat city and in proximity to the Turkmenistan border, which lies around 25 kms from the site. The trapezoidal project site is bounded on the north, south and east by the Amu-Bukhara canal. Our Company was the sole EPC solutions provider for the solar PV plant, inclusive of the EPC scope for BESS and the 230 kV power evacuation infrastructure, including the transmission line. The project is funded by the International Finance Corporation (“IFC”) and the plant was designed, constructed and maintained in compliance with applicable IFC guidelines. The project was executed on a turnkey basis with our end-to-end EPC responsibilities including design, engineering, construction, execution, testing and commissioning of a fully completed and operational solar PV plant integrated with a BESS hybrid system. The project has a design life of 25 years. Further, automatic robotic cleaning systems were implemented to reduce water consumption and operating costs. Local contractors were engaged to optimize time and cost for procurement and construction activities.
